The Ascent is an original collection of music inspired by “The Holy Mountain,” the 70’s cult classic film created by the masterful, esoteric director, Alejandro Jodorowsky. The sound is fueled by spiritual imagery and disturbing themes concerning human nature. The score covers vast musical territory from Ennio Morricone-inspired vocal fury, to Zappa break-beats, to industrial factory-core, to soothing acoustic ambient landscapes. The Ascent is a sonic journey of disturbing psychedelia, a hope to become more than our limited consciousness, and a reverence for the reflective state.
